The Adventures of a Military Family!
This weekend my family took a short trip to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. You know one of those last minute hoorahs before they husband leaves for a bit. I made reservations at Dunes Village Resort (http://www.dunesvillage.com/). We arrived before check - in time so the kids could hit the "water park". I will admit we were not real impressed. It is 2 separate areas and to get to one from the other you have to run across a parking lot - not fun in the freezing weather. My kids were entertained for a couple of hours maybe - I would say the water features are for kids under 8 or 9 years old.
For dinner we had reservations at Medieval Times (http://www.medievaltimes.com/). We arrived at 4:30 an hour and half before the show starts. It was a long wait, but we didn't have to wait to long to get in and we ended up with second row seating at the end of the arena so we saw everything. The food was very good and my kids enjoyed eating with their fingers. The waiter was very knowledgeable of allergens in the food, something this mom loved. My daughter caught a flower thrown by our Knight and she was hooked after that hooting and hollering like a crazy person.
Sunday we went to Ripley's Believe it or Not, their Mirror maze and then to the Aquarium. Ripley's offers 75% discount to military families, both adults need their ID's. We enjoyed everything for the price we paid, can't say I would have been impressed paying full price. The aquarium is very nice, but very small (but then I have been to GA Aquarium). And after the Aquarium head next door to Margaritiville and order the Volcano Nacho's!!!

I am the crafty one in my family, I probably should have my husband writing these blogs for me. But, then again you would probably get bored of all his technical talk. I hope to provide a bit of military inspiration, share crafty idea and share great boutiques and bloggers with all of my followers.
